WellBeing Distributors Ltd in 2018 secured the exclusive agency to distribute a collagen-based supplement brand called Swedish Nutra (SN). The company, profitable since inception, has grown significantly in recent years with increased consumer awareness of the benefits of health and collagen supplements. The SN product is already sold in 39% of pharmacies in the Republic of Ireland with the new management team of John O’Connell and Gary Collins looking to scale the business with new products and market opportunities (Northern Ireland and GB).

• John O’Connell and Gary Collins have 30 years’ experience in building businesses in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

• New management team is investing €1.17m of their own money in the acquisition and have track-record of wealth creation and successful exits.

• WellBeing is to be acquired by the new management team and Spark investors for €1.65m. This equates to an EBITDA multiple of 5.46x the current annual run rate of €302k (EBITDA). 

• WellBeing has monthly revenues of more than €100k and is profitable and growing.

• Business model is based on wholesale partnership with United Drug and is very profitable.

• Global collagen market to double to $2 billion within 10 years.

• Management strategy to scale up sales to €4.8m from current €1.3m expected to deliver a 3.6x return to Spark investors.
